We aim to have fun while learning the sport of lacrosse. The three objectives of Steamboat Youth Lacrosse are:
- Sportsmanship
- Effort
- Fun!
Practice Schedule:
U-10/11 Tuesdays/Thursdays 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
U-12 Tuesdays/Thursdays 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
U-13 Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
U-15 Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Be prepared to be flexible as we will practice whenever we can depending on field, turf, and indoor facility availability. Unfortunately some practices will be announced with little notice due to the nature of weather and facility shortage in the spring.
Tentative Game Schedule for all teams:
1.) Vail Lax Jam - in Edwards (May 5-6)
2.) Aspen Shootout - in El Jebel (May 12-13)
Weekend of May 19-20 - No games planned
3.) Steamboat Classic - in Steamboat (May 26-27)
4.) Rocky Mountain Jamboree - Schaefer Athletic Complex in Denver (June 9-10)
Parents, please be prepared to be flexible. As soon as a schedule change is made, you will be notified.
Uniform: Costs vary. Less than $75 for the whole uniform.
Equipment: Each player must provide his own equipment. A full set of equipment includes a lacrosse stick (a backup is suggested), lacrosse helmet, lacrosse gloves, lacrosse shoulder pads, lacrosse arm pads, mouthpiece, cleats, and an athletic cup. Uniforms will be paid for when they are distributed, not on this registration.
